Sound Therapy
I have now passed my Sound Therapy Practitioner Level Diploma with a Distinction.
It is a 1:1 session where you are guided through using therapeutic sound and reflective process called the 5Rs.
What is Sound Therapy?
Sound Therapy uses sound and specialist instruments played in therapeutic ways, combined with deep self-reflection techniques to improve health and wellbeing.
You can now book your appointment for your bespoke Sound Therapy treatment. An initial appointment with extensive consultation is required for the first appointment with allocated time of up to 1hr 45mins, follow up appointment for consequent sessions will be up to 1hr 15mins. These sessions are charged at £75 for the initial and £67 for the follow up.
The BAST Method
The BAST method of sound therapy combines carefully researched and structured therapeutic sound techniques which have been shown to affect physiology, neurology and psychology with a form of reflective enquiry process. This approach has been shown to be very effective at improving health and wellbeing.
The therapeutic sound and sound therapy techniques are delivered using tonal and rhythmic instruments such as Gongs, Monochords Drums and Percussions.
Using the reflective process the technique allows the client to gain insight into their personal process, by using the ‘Cooper Sax Model – the 5Rs’
The 5Rs consists of: Resonance, Resistance, Release, Reflection and Responsibility.
Research undertaken at BAST (and independently) has shown that their methodology is 16% more relaxing than conventional relaxation music, 6% more relaxing than other treatments such as massage and, on average, 64% more relaxing than other general relaxation methods.
